If I Share a data file to Google drive, the unhelpful name of ‘GPS Connector - Share NMEA log’ is proposed and if you just mash the Upload button, that is exactly the name of the file deposited on Drive. GPS Connector should propose the name of the GPS Connector source data file which contains helpful date and time information. Now I could type in a more specific file name than the one proposed but I can’t remember all that date and time information and could easily get it wrong and it is slower. But even worse, if I fat fingered a radio button of the share file selection list and selected one other than the one I wanted, I could totally mis-identify the file dropped on Drive. In contrast when I Share a GPS Connector data file to something like FX File Explorer the exact selected data file name is proposed. So my two-step workaround is currently to Share to FX File Explorer and from there share to Google drive where the proposed data file name comes through exactly as desired. Thanks for investigating this.
This is sort of a feature request and I have another but the Feature Requests portion of the forum is locked. Why? Is there another avenue to propose features?
